Most of the posts are Vinyl transfers I have done myself (unless noted)- to the best of my knowledge, none of these are currently available on CD and are long since out-of-print. Most are difficult to find and/or very obscure. If anyone has an issue with anything I post, please let me know and I will immediately remove it. Oh, shit. I remember this record!
Thank you SO VERY much!
You're welcome!
Hi, I know this must be annoying for you to see several comments by the same person in the space of one day!
I have only recently discovered your blog, and I am zooming through the archives trying to make up for lost time (Metros! Gleaming Spires!) but unfortunately, some of your rips have been taken off ZShare, like this one.
Is there any chance you can repost this one, and the others?
You bet! It has been re-uploaded. I am more than happy to re-post anything that has expired, just let me know!
I saw The Nervous too many times to count, many dozen, if not a hundred or so. The Star System was the most common venue, although The Mason Jar, Industrial Dances, Dooley's happened from time to time, too. But the Star System was the shit. That fucked up dance floor, piss overflowing in the men's room. X, The Gun Club, The GoGo's, Maureen Tucker with The Meat Puppets, Rubber City REbels, FEAR!!!!, The Paladins, all became legends at some point. But The Nervous were the main reason to go to the club. Always lean, mean and in form, stylish and powerful. Any of them still playing music these days? I still listen to my 2 x 2 fairly regularly, my kids think it's cool, too.
Any chance this could be made available again? Brian was and still a pretty close friend and I'd love to have something of theirs digital.
~thanking you in advance!~
